This hands-on training focuses on the workflow and techniques used in Melbourne specialty coffee shops. You will learn how to dial in espresso, adjust grinders, texture milk consistently, and prepare popular café drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites with speed and accuracy.
Beyond coffee recipes, the course also teaches essential café skills including drink sequencing, bar workflow, consistency during busy service, and professional habits expected by café employers.
Our goal is simple — to prepare you with the skills cafés look for when hiring baristas.
By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge and practical experience to confidently work in a café environment and begin your journey in the coffee industry.
Total Duration: 14 hours
What’s Included:
Basic Barista Course – 4-hour group class
Basic Latte Art Course – 3-hour group class
Private Training Options (choose one):
Option 1: 7 hours of private training focused on workflow and speed
(Occasionally, you may be paired with another student if your levels match)Option 2: 5 hours of private training + 2-hour supervised café shift
How It Works:
All sessions are scheduled based on your availability and booked via email.
Once confirmed, a booking confirmation email will be sent.
For private sessions, we recommend 2-hour sessions, 2–3 times per week.
Session times are flexible and arranged through email communication.
